Ants, Fleas, Ticks, Cockroaches, Mites, Carpet Moths, Silverfish....

Diatomaceous Earth is a wholly natural product that is not only pet safe, but also non-toxic to our water. In fact, we eat it all the time because it is added to flour to stop weevils from living in it! It's also used in worming treatments too. It is also odourless.

Diatomaceous Earth comes from the fossilised remains of the diatoms. It is perfect for tackling infestations: ants, fleas, ticks, cockroaches, silverfish, carpet moths, mites...I could go on - basically anything with an exoskeleton perishes upon contact with just a speck of this dust.

So if you have "Terry the Tarantula" (and you're very fond of him), do NOT bring this stuff into your house!

Simply puncture the 50g bag and sprinkle it around the infested area. E.g. if you've got carpet moths do the corners and edges (and other affected areas), ditto dog/cat beds - anywhere pets are likely to sleep. It's very dusty so leave it as long as you can bear, but around twelve hours is suggested as a minimum.

Because it won't kill the larvae, you'll need to repeat every two or three days until the infestation is completely gone. For ants and silverfish, try to push some into any holes that are coming from and simply leave it there. Never put directly on a cat because they'll lick it off and the fine dust might inflame their delicate noses.

I suggest you dig out your old face masks from Covid times as you shake it about the place.
